Hair Accessories For All Occasions, Fall, Winter 2011

Choosing the proper hair accessories for each occasion is sometimes more difficult than it might seem. It all depends, however, on the look that you are attempting to mimic. Here are a few tips for choosing your hair accessories in order to dress up or down for whatever day.

Bobby pins are good for casual styles or when you want it your hair to look put up without a whole bunch of distractions. They are good for buns of all kinds, french twists, coifs or anything else that needs to look seamless in the hair department. At the same time, you can buy more decorative bobby pins to add a little bit of sparkle and draw attention to where you want it.

Combs are also good for buns. They add a little bit of decoration without overpowering your whole hairstyle. It’s easy to pair combs with a bobby pin.

Hair bows with small charms are good for when you want to look cute and sassy and maybe even a little bit childish. You can dress these up or down depending on what you want to wear.

Ribbons also work as hair bows. You can easily pair these with ponytail holders or headbands if you like. It is fully up to you.

One thing to keep in mind when choosing hair accessories is to choose something that you like and are going to wear. If you absolutely despise ribbons, don’t buy them. Just leave them be. You don’t have to do much more past that.

Must Have Accessories for Any Ladies’ Wardrobe

You’ve seen it. There’s this one girl and she has the most beautiful outfits. She’s always dressed to the nines and looks great. She turns everyone’s heads and always looks neat and beautiful. You might be a little bit envious—after all, every girl wants to be admired at some point. But a lot of times, it’s not in the clothes—it’s in the accessories. Look at her outfit and picture it without the accessories. Pretty bland, huh? So thus is a list of accessories that every lady ought to have.

Headbands or clips are a must have. You can have one or the other, or both. You can find cute clips almost anywhere. Headbands can be a bit harder, but ribbons are almost a given. When using these accessories, only use one at a time. There’s no need to overdo it—you’ll look tacky as opposed to glamorous.

Jewelry. This doesn’t mean that you have to have necklaces and rings and bracelets and every type of jewelry imaginable—pick something that you are going to wear. For example, if you have stretched earlobes or “gauges” then plugs could be your jewelry. Also, not everyone likes rings—but you don’t have to wear them.

Ribbons are an accessory in themselves. By buying one or two colors, you are buying hair accessories and jewelry together. You can tie them in your hair, pull your hair back with one, use it as a necklace, or a bracelet, or even braid them into your hair. It’s up to you.

You don’t have to wear something that you don’t want to. You can also vary it as much as you like—it’s all up to you. If you like Hello Kitty, you can have Hello Kitty accessories. It’s easy!
