Colors make a lot of difference to an outfit. And women who know color will always choose colors that compliment their complexion as well as their body shape. They also opt for colors that make them feel and look great and colors that manifest their personality and they consider as their own fashion statement To give you an idea of what the colors that you prefer signify and what it says about you. White is a safe color. Women who favor white are more cautious in their color choices. It is considered a neutral color and when used with other colors, these other colors stand out more clearly, even when used in a smaller percentage. When combined with pastel or lighter colors, it livens up the pastels resulting in a softer and a very summery look. On the other hand, white can make dark or light green, blue and red colors brighter. White is also great for showing off a lovely tan.

Black is the absence of color. It is a very versatile color and in clothes, it has a very slimming effect. A black outfit is elegant, sophisticated and at the same time sexy with a touch of mystery.

Red is a commanding color. It suggests dominance, power and authority. Red is also a very brash and vivacious color. It calls attention to the wearer, imbues her with sexual energy and makes her stand out from a crowd. Red is a color that you wear when you want to make a statement.

Pink means joy and happiness. It is a very feminine, youthful and charming color. Pink is also the color of universal love; it endows feeling of tenderness, sensitivity and caring. Most young girls love pink and this quite understandable.

Yellow is the color of intellectual and creative energy. It signifies wisdom but at the same time means happiness and joy. Highly intellectual people favor yellow. Like the sun’s energy, yellow brings awareness and clarity.

Blue is a cool color. It is the color of the sea, the sky, twilight and sleep and very soothing, calming color. Dark blue is often favored by conservative women; it is the color of truth and temperance. While turquoise blue is the color of youth, confidence and vigor.

Orange is a healing and at the same time a power color. If red is coupled with scorching heat, orange is allied with the gentle warmth of the sun. It is said to motivate creativity and passion as well as verve and stamina. Women who prefer orange are said to be caring and sincere.

Magazines, shows and blogs would tell you the popular color for the season. When you tried that color, something just doesn’t feel right. There are colors that might look good on your but not on somebody else. There are those that would look good on you yet not on others. It may be something to do with your hair color and skin tone.

You might wonder why you need to bother finding what your perfect color is. Your color is what will dictate you what jewellery to wear, like be it silver or gold, what knid of makeup color will look best on you.

How will you know what colors will look best on you. You can do it by analysing your natural hair colour, the colours of your eyes and your skin tone. By kowing the combination of colours, you will know that some colors will complement or contrast your natural color.

If you are curious which color is suited for you, go to a well-lighted place in your room, bring with you a piece of clothing of these colors: charcoal grey, navy blue, soft brown and honey beige. Bring each of the clothing to your face. If the color becomes more focused rather than your face, then that color is not for you. If you look brighter, that means your eyes look brighter and so does your skin, then that is the perfect color for you.

The colors are divided into four categories: Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. Here is just the tip of the iceberg: If you are Asian, you are most probably Winter or an Autumn. If you are Caucasian, you are most probably a Summer or Spring.

Spring colors look good in camel, khaki, light grey, purple-gray, peach, coral and tomato red. Summer colors look good in taupe, powder pink, rose pink, deep rose, icy pink and soft fuchsia.

Autumns would like to prefer black brown, black, camel, khaki, dark purple aubergine. Winter people look good in these colours: red-brown, icy gray, hot turquoise, emerald turquoise, navy and dark purple.
