Stylish Hairstyles Ideas 2011

When you want to paint the town red, there is no better way to create the whole aura of you having fun than having the hair in the trendiest styles for this year.

Side braid
The side braid for this year is about casual elegance. It is not the straight-up, tight braid of yesteryears. It is about having the tousled look that makes it ultra feminine and extra sweet. You begin with creating loose waves using the curling iron. Gather the hair to one side after applying some shine serum onto it. Loosely braid it and tie it with elastic. To have more tendrils that hang more loosely, hold the braid and shake it a few times.

Twisted Updo
Updos may look complicated but looks can be deceiving. This one takes only a few minutes. This hair-do is better when you have unwashed hair. What you do is to make section in the hairline and curl these to create texture. Side-part the hair and gather to one side. Secure with elastic. Twist it by making some loose braid. Create  curls by pulling some hair from the braid. Apply hairspray to set it.

Half-Up Bouffant
There is a comeback to this 60s look. The updated look hay more texture to it. Spray some leave-in conditioner and volumizer to damp hair. Blow dry it. Once it is dried, set the top part with a curling iron. Choose a small curling iron for the sides. Back comb it for a fluffy look and secure with hair spray. Use some clip to secure it to its place.

High Top Knot
Inspired by the ballerina bun, it is place closer to the crown area. To pull this off, a sleek look is what you should aim. Start with dry hair and apply mousse. Make a high ponytail on the top of the head. Instead of the tight rounded bun we often see among ballerinas, make the bun softer by creating an oval shape instead of the regular round bun.
