When you think of accessories, you probably think of earrings and necklaces and bracelets and all sorts of other things. However, one of the most simple, more intricate and colorful accessories is ribbon!
Ribbon is not only pretty, sleek, and easy to use, but it’s also extremely cheap. If you have access to a Wal-mart or a fabric shop, chances are that you have access to all sorts of ribbon!
Ribbons come in all sorts of shapes and sizes. There are all sorts of patterns. Do you like penguins? Chances are you can find a penguin ribbon. How about Hello Kitty? You can find Hello Kitty ribbon too, with enough effort! How about your favorite color? That’s the beauty of ribbon—it’s inexpensive and even little stores have enough of a variety for you to pick something nice.
Your best shot when purchasing ribbon is to buy about two foots worth. This should be more than enough to go around your head, wrist, whatever you might want to use it for. It also allows you to buy more than one yard of ribbon. You could probably get five, six, or maybe seven strips of ribbon for under five dollars.
Once you have purchased your ribbons, then the real fun begins! You can use them as a headband or as a pretty bracelet (you may need a friend to tie it on, but hey, there’s nothing wrong with a little team work.) or even a necklace. For the necklace, you can keep the bow in the front for a kind of cute kitten look, or tie it in the back for something that looks a little bit more elegant.
